Lovely song Odi, and it continues a fine tradition of songs that feature in their title or are 'about' New York, some of which go back many, many years. If ever you get the chance check out 'There's a boat that's leaving soon for New York' written - I think - by George and Ira Gershwin. It evokes a smokey skyline that promised so much hope for those leaving the old countries of Ireland, Germany, Italy, Russia etc. Whoops, got sidetracked there! I love songs that mention places and they don't get much better than New York. The performance is characteristically heartfelt and emotional. It'll pull a few heartstrings. which, after all, is what you do well.

Oh my gosh - looooove your voice! Beautiful song! Sorry I missed the chipmunk mix. =)

you have a great sound... I would not tire of listening to it :)

Hadn't been to New York in ages, but your song took me back. The simple demo format evokes the folk sounds of the sixties when Dylan was making his mark and I was bouncing around Boston checking out the scene at the Unicorn and being introduced to Delta blues by a Navy brat just back from the UK. Best wishes for continued success with your touring and recording.

Your voice, in this song at least, reminds me of Sinéad O'Connor.
Her The Parting Glass might be a good comparison for instance.

My favs from your side of the pond of late are Corrine Bailey Rae,
Duffy, Joss Stone, and the Irish American Idol contestant Carly Smithson.

I wonder who inspired you along the way?
